Acupuncture
Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine, sterile, single use, disposable needles into points along the body’s energy pathways, also know as meridians, to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of energy, or Qi, through the body.
Sometimes needles are inserted into hyper-contracted muscles, known as trigger points, to release muscular tension.
Other methods may also be used to stimulate the meridians and acupuncture points including acupressure, cupping, electro-stimulation, moxibustion and massage, in order to rebalance the flow of qi and blood.

What to Expect?
Sessions are usually done on a massage table, partially unclothed, depending on where the needles need to be placed and the preference of the client. During a single session, needles may be placed while lying on the stomach or the back or in both positions. In some instances, needles can be inserted in side-lying.
I stay in the room with you during the session. If uncomfortable for any reason, I can adjust a needle or remove it. Massage or craniosacral therapy can be offered while the needles are in (avoiding where the needles have been placed). It allows for a continued connection to the relaxation process.
Testimonials
Lyn Martel provided me with several treatments following muscle contractures and throat pain. Listening and professional, she knew how to orient care for my well-being. Lyn knew how to give me confidence, and relax and overcome the health problems related to my professional activity (teacher of circus arts). She also introduced me to acupuncture which is not painful and which is useful against a large number of ills.
I highly recommend Lyn and will be sure to see her again for any health concerns.
Thanks again Lyn.
I cannot recommend Lyn highly enough. I have had massages and acupuncture with her, and felt profound benefits from both types of treatment.
Her approach is highly professional, her touch is magical and her warm personality will put you at your ease instantly.
It’s been over a year since I began suffering from CRPS which has been ruining my life. I started with physical therapy, painkillers, and visits to Paris to get some leads. In short, time went by and I could not break this cycle because physiotherapy was becoming too painful and nothing was improving, with difficulty regaining my mobility – real hell. I booked appointments with Lyn, not feeling very hopeful, but she did an amazing job on me. I was in a lot of pain and feeling exhausted and little by little I gradually rediscovered my body which was suffering so bad. My shoulder and arm could no longer tolerate ambling on crutches and now I live again. The path has not ended but I am moving forward thanks to her and her knowledge. Trust her for your problems; I feel alive again, thank you for this beautiful encounter.
Being an acupuncture practitioner myself, I appreciate the sessions with Lyn. The acupuncture and massage offered are based on experience and knowledge of the foundations of Chinese energy, “powerful” and rejuvenating.
The techniques used have no therapeutic or medical aim. They have no sexual connotation.
